A Legacy of Land and People

In August of 2011, a small group of Tulare County residents came together to talk about how best to celebrate the processes and the rich results of the history of conservation in our county, by sharing stories of this magnificent land and its people. This website is the outcome of their efforts.

Project Team

The project team includes local authors, historians, farmers, archaeologists, ranchers, teachers, poets, scientists, and artists. Project History

Naming the project “Tulare County Treasures: A Legacy of Land and People,” the group launched this website in December 2012 with the first 12 Treasure Tales. The site has expanded considerably since then, with videos and articles that document Treasures throughout Tulare County. …READ MORE
